school project:

me along with my groupmates (ashley, madi & solenn) came up with yin & yang—a chinese philosophical concept; opposite & interconnected forces. our storyline follows two tokyo girls from differing backgrounds coming together to fight their differences to create an everlasting friendship.

we took main inspiration from i-D magazine, its photography style, content & layout

our main photography inspiration is wing shya, an esteemed world-renown photographer

our storyline inspiration is ai yazawa’s nana, a popular manga and anime series

i printed each image separately into quality prints and i also edited , layout and designed the magazine on indesign to match our analysis and project brief, and printed copies.
